On about our third day the peak on the very right-most edge of this photo erupted! 20 miles as the crow-flies (any crows I would I imagine to be doing so rapidly and in the opposite direction at this point!). "Mount Supotan" (1830m) last majorly blew its top in 1989 killing a bunch of people I believe. We had an entertaining evening with the binoculars watching red-hot lava rivers streaming forth. Have to make your own fun in these situations (!)
