Easter, 2007: We motored down to North Brittany to stay a few nights at the secluded "Chateau le Windsor" 'between sea and forest' as they put it, close to Bourseul. (Pretty well 20 mls due South-West of St. Malo, as the proverbial crow-flies).

Stopped off or lunch at a favourite place: The quaint Normandy harbour of Honfleur on the Seine estuary a few minutes South of the Pont de Normandie.

Had some pleasant rambles in the delightfully peaceful countryside around the apparent lake (actually a flooded river valley reservoir) between the tiny villages of Pleven and Plorec-sur-Arguenon.

On one of these hikes came upon the castle "Chateau de la Hunaudaye" built 1220 (closed for restoration at this time).

Visits to the coast included Cap Frehel and its light-house. And on the return stopped by the 30ft high "Menhir de Champ-Dolent" aka the "Dol-de-Breton" probably the largest megalith in Brittany.
